Algerian and Leicester City F.C star man Riyad Mahrez has completed a move to Liverpool F.C for €55 million according to Bein Sports. The announced deal involves Mahrez traveling to Anfield to undergo a medical tomorrow. The signing of Mahrez comes minutes after his new club agreed to a record deal of €142 million to sell their Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho to powerhouse Barcelona. Mahrez is set to join three other African star players to Anfield, Senegalese Sadio Mane, Egyptian and African Footballer of the Year Award winner Mohamed Salah, and Guinean Naby Keita, whose set to join Liverpool this transfer window.
Mahrez, Salah, Mane, and Keita on the same field, coming at defenders with their blistering speed, skills, and tactically? The footballing gods must have been crazy. The footballing world has not seen this many African star power on the same team since the days of Samuel Eto, Yaya Toure, and Seydou Keita on the Barcelona team or the Champions League winning side of Chelsea F.C in 2012. That African star team included legends Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Solomon Kalou, John Mikel Obi, etc. What a team to watch. Good luck boys, Africa and Liverpool are cheering you on.
